Dissemination and Implementation
Science Core (DISC)
Developing innovative strategies that enhance the adoption,
adaptation, and sustainment of effective interventions
across contexts and populations
About the DISC

The Florida State University (FSU) Dissemination and Implementation Science Core (DISC) serves as a vital resource within our university's research infrastructure, bridging the critical gap between scientific discovery and real-world application. Established in 2025 to support investigators to accelerate the translation of evidence-based practices, interventions, and policies into various community and healthcare settings, DISC brings together interdisciplinary expertise to tackle complex implementation challenges.
DISC provides training and consultation to researchers, clinicians, community partners, and policymakers through a range of services, including methodological guidance. Our core is dedicated to developing innovative strategies that enhance the adoption, adaptation, and sustainment of effective interventions across contexts and populations.
DISC fosters collaborative partnerships that promote better health and improve service delivery systems. Our team specializes in mixed-methods approaches, community engagement, adaptive study designs, and implementation outcome measurement across the translational science continuum, with a focus on T2 to T4, to ensure that scientific innovations achieve their intended impact and are sustained over time. Through DISC, FSU demonstrates its commitment to ensuring that research findings don't simply remain in academic journals but are instead effectively translated into practices that meaningfully improve health, education, and social well-being in our communities.
Campus-Wide Support

Specific support that can be accessed campus-wide includes:
